Eleanor Ann (Hoffer) Hisker , 91, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born Oct. 26, 1925, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Samuel B. and Laura R. Campbell Hoffer. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral and a retired operator for Bell Telephone/Verizon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel P. Hoffer; and three sisters, Rita F. Lawton, Marie Hoffer and Regina M. Bizub. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Donald M. Hisker; her son, James E. Hisker (Jane); her daughter, Amy L. Opsitnick (Edward), all of Greensburg; her granddaughter, Liz Opsitnick; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Eleanor from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Parting prayers will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Saturday, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral.
