Edward J. Taylor, 83, of Greensburg, died Friday, February 07, 2025, in the Westmoreland Hospital. He was born December 06, 1941, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Robert Howard and Kathryn Elizabeth Gallie Taylor. Ed was the owner of a local life insurance agency. “Mr. Ed” as he was fondly called by his fellow members of The Father's Heart Ministries, Inc., was instrumental in helping not only with the updating of the social hall and other 'handyman' duties, but was also known for lending a compassionate ear to those that needed it. He was a devoted father that loved his family, a devout Christian and loved singing Amazing Grace. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Joanne Litton and Kathryn Eckert. He is survived by his five children, Robert Taylor (Kim) of Charleston, SC, Kathryn 'Kay' Wefel of Graham, WA, William Taylor (and their mother, Suzanne Acker), Kiley Taylor and Anna Taylor (and their mother, Barbara Taylor), all of Greensburg; six grandchildren, Megan Taylor (fiancé Tomas Monti), Sydney Taylor, Allie Krause (Tim), Ben Wefel (Amber), Hannah Wefel and Jacob Wefel (Brianna); twelve great grandchildren and one that is expected any day; sister, MaryLou Craig (David) of the North Hills; several nieces and his Church family. Relatives and friends of Ed will be received Monday in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020, from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11:45 a.m. in Funeral Home, with Pastor Elba Ramos, officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service at The Father's Heart Ministries, Inc., 201 Church St, Penn, PA 15675. Interment will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park, Allison Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Father's Heart Ministries, Inc., 201 Church St, Penn, PA 15675.
