Edna Lee Paluzzi, 92, of Greensburg, PA, died Monday, November 25th, at Mountain View Memory Care. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Nilla Giudice and was born in Charleston, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Richard C. Paluzzi. She is survived by her loving brother, Franco Giudice (the late Betty Jo); her children, Laura (the late Ron) Momeyer, Paul (Misty) Paluzzi, Nilla (Chaz) Siniawski, Vicki (Sam) Pilato, and Quintin (Donna) Paluzzi; her loving grandchildren, Adam (Vi) Momeyer, Megan (Brian) Moore, Zack (Rebecca) Siniawski, Nick (Katie) Siniawski, RJ, Gino, and Tony Pilato, Jesse (Dani) Paluzzi, Dylan, Logan Paluzzi, and Nicholas Pressey; and her great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Sadie Moore, Nolan, Caleb, Tedy, Waylon, Nora, and Hayes Siniawski. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Marlene (her “sister of her heart”) and Don Fordyce, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and a large extended family. She lived a long and beautiful life. After high school, she attended a year of finishing school in Florence, Italy. She then graduated from West Virginia University and moved to Greensburg to start her career as the Director of the Girl Scouts of America. She met our dad on a blind date at Rizzo's restaurant and went on to have five children. Once her youngest reached high school, she began the second chapter of her life and had a very successful career as a real estate agent and broker. Mom and Dad loved music, and Mom was quite accomplished on the piano while Dad played the drums. Music played an important role in their lives, and even at the end, Dad serenaded Mom with their signature song, “My Funny Valentine”. Our Dad suffered from MS for 30 years, and Mom was a devoted caregiver, never complaining and handling all his health issues with patience and dignity. Mom had a very competitive spirit, and we had enthusiastic games of gin rummy and weekly games of bridge. We have such fond memories of fun times spent at Deep Creek with Mom's good friend Flossie Marsh and her family. She was always up for a trip to the beach, a visit with the Cincinnati crew, or any adventure that came along! Mom lived her often chaotic life—having five children in six years, moving to five different states—all with a smile on her face and amazing grace amid our crazy family. Even in the face of something as serious as a nuclear war threat, she would calmly be planning a tea party. She displayed such patience under any circumstances that came her way. Mom loved spending time with her extended family. Our Dad and Mom’s legacy will be carried on for many generations. They taught us through their actions that family is not an important thing—it’s everything! Relatives and friends of Edna Lee will be received Friday, December 13th from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020. A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 14th at 10:30 a.m. in the Pantalone Funeral Home.
