Earl Grant, Sr., 85, of Greensburg, died Friday, September 20, 2024, in the Westmoreland Manor. He was born August 07, 1939, in Herminie, a son of the late Nathaniel and Evie Felts Grant. Earl enjoyed golfing, playing the guitar, good food, family cookouts, and being a trainer during his son, Earl Jr.’s, boxing career. He worked at General Tire and Westinghouse in Jeannette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Nathaniel, Jr., Kenneth, Harvey, Robert, and Melvin Grant, and four sisters, Emma Lee, Ann Ruth Grant, Barbara Jean Beck, and Sally Mae Span. He is survived by his five children, Earl Grant, Jr. of Altoona, Duane Grant of Bethlehem, Bonita Hughey of Jeannette, Daryl Grant of Emmaus, and Jason Grant of Hazleton/Texas and their mother, Asenath Gantt of Hazleton/Texas; seven grandchildren, Earl Grant, III, Cherice Morton, Rhonda Griffin, Alyssa Mesich, Nehemiah Grant, Glory-Selah Grant, and Hosanna-Hope Grant; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Russell and Evelyn Wilson, both of Greensburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and goddaughter Dana Grant. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Earl, Thursday in the in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020, from 10 a.m., until the time of services at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery, Irwin.
