Dominic Medaglio

Dominic F. Medaglio, 90, of South Greensburg, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, in Doylestown. He was born Jan. 16, 1925, in Greensburg, a son of the late Frank and Rosina Spinelli Medaglio. A lifelong resident of South Greensburg, Dominic graduated from Greensburg Salem High School in 1942. He served in the Army from 1943 to 46 and was a member of St. Bruno Church. He was a former employee/owner of Lee's Restaurant in Greensburg for more than 35 years; worked at PPG for 10 years and worked for more than 15 years for the Sheraton Golf Course and the Madison Country Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Maxine Sweigart; a brother, Joseph Medaglio; and sisters-in-law, Josephine and Roseann Medaglio. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gloria M. Marsili Medaglio; a son, Jeffrey M. Medaglio and wife, Donna, of Doylestown; three grandchildren, Natalie, of New York City, N.Y., Nicholas and fiancee, Dominique Comer, of Philadelphia, and James Medaglio, of Hoboken, N.J.; his brother, Ernie Medaglio, of Coraopolis; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Dominic, from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Prayers will be held 9:15 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Bruno Church. Inurnment will be in Mary, Mother of Mercy Mausoleum at St. Vincent.
