Dolores Joan Sylvester Dangelo , 86, of Greensburg, entered into eternal life on Friday, April 27, 2018. She was born June 19, 1931, in Armbrust, the daughter of the late Raymond Michael Sylvester Sr., and Leona Mary Phillips Sylvester. She was a 1950 graduate of Youngwood High School and a 1985 graduate of the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy, where she earned certifications as a cosmetologist, cosmetology teacher, electrologist, professional make-up artist, and esthetician. In addition, she was an accomplished musician, having studied piano with the late Quentin Wagner, and voice with Professor Margaret Garrity of Seton Hill College. She sang in several church choirs, including, at the time of her passing, the St. Bartholomew Church Choir, as well as previously singing in the choirs of St. Paul Church, St. Bruno Church, St. Bede Church, St. Mary Church, St. Pius Church, Visitation Church, Transfiguration Church, and St. Mary Czestochowa Church, as well as the Mount Pleasant Choral Society. In her early career, she was also a secretary for the Westmoreland County Recorder of Deeds, Jesse S. McCormick. In 1951, she married Louis Anthony Dangelo, a pharmacist, who predeceased her Jan. 16, 1982. They had two sons together. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her younger brother, Raymond Michael Sylvester Jr., in 2015, and a niece, Jean Ann Sylvester Schall, in 1995. She is survived by her sons, Dr. Eugene Michael Dangelo, and Louis Christian Dangelo (Jennifer); and her brother, Paul Pascal Sylvester; as well as several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Dolores from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Parting prayers will be held 9:15 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, followed at 10 a.m. by a funeral Mass to be celebrated in St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, with Father Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating. Entombment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Westmoreland County, P.O.
