Diane L. Kish

March 6, 1966 — April 9, 2025

Saltsburg

Diane Lynne (Christoff) Kish, 59, passed away at AHN Forbes Regional Hospital on April 9th, 2025. Wife of Jeff Kish, Mother of Ashley Gais (Drew), and Jennifer Kish (Angel), also Grandmother of Mila Gais. She resided in Saltsburg, PA; Alumni of Hempfield Area, class of ‘84; and employee at Leybold USA Inc. for many years.

If you’ve never met my mother, she was the most kind and loving human on this earth, of course I may be a little bit biased, and if you have, I’m sure you already know— There was no one else like her. Although she was fighting the fight of her life, it’s important for you all to know how much of a fighter she was. She fought until her very last breath. Pancreatic Cancer is such a hard diagnosis to overcome, physically and emotionally. I would personally like to thank the nurses of Forbes on the oncology floor. You filled her days with constant hope and happiness. She loved coming to see you all, and she hated going to any other floor knowing she made friends with you all. Thank you for the grace you’ve shown her the past 5 months.

I feel it’s important to show the sides of her that we all loved. She loved Toby Keith and Prince; she would sing even when sometimes she probably should just sing inside her own head. She would give her advice, even when sometimes you didn’t want it. Her love language was acts of service, and it never went unnoticed. She enjoyed the beach, playing Barbie’s with Mila, crafting, and attending every Arts festival within a 50-mile radius even if it was just window shopping. She was strong and never once cared how she was perceived. Even as time goes on, we will always hold her in our hearts and hold her hand by spirit. Because God knows we need her here with us today, and for the years to come.

Mom, give heaven hell; Walk beside us on our hardest days and we’ll look for you in the brightest star in the sky, every night. We’ll never forget you. We love you beyond words.

There will not be any funeral arrangements per her last wishes. There will be a private graveside burial.

Additionally, per Diane’s wishes, memorial contributions can be made in Diane’s memory to St Jude’s Cancer Research Center — 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
