Daniel A. Teet, M.D., 78, of Latrobe, died Thursday, November 28, 2024, in the Latrobe Hospital. He was born October 24, 1946, in Greensburg, a son of the late James John and Frances Policastro Teet. Dr. Teet received his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from St. Vincent College and graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with his Doctorate of Medicine. He was the first out of state resident to be accepted at the college since its foundation in 1828. He completed his general surgery residency at Mercy and West Penn Hospital and completed a fellowship at Mercy in head-neck surgery and microsurgery. He then completed his plastic surgical residency at OSU where he was an Asst. Clinical Professor until he returned to PA. Dr. Teet was board certified in Plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. He was the founder and director of the Renaissance Cosmetic Surgery Center, Mt. Pleasant. Prior to his retirement he was a member of numerous boards and societies within the medical and surgical communities and had been listed in Marquis 'Who's Who in Surgery'. Aside from being accomplished in the medical field, he was also a pilot, artist, sculptor and equestrian and spoke four languages. One of his greatest accomplishments was founding 'Operation Love' which helped with reconstructive surgery for children and the underprivileged, both in the US and internationally. It was his heart-felt desire to serve the Living God and to be a blessing to his fellow man, wherever the need arose. He is survived by two children, James John Teet, (Alina) and Kara Padilla (Andrew), all of Naples, FL and five grandchildren. Relatives and friends of Dr. Teet will be received Friday in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Doug Allen, officiating.
