Carole Marsili

Carole Catherine (Vargosko) Marsili , 84, of Greensburg, died Friday, March 26, 2021. She was born Nov. 13, 1936, in Youngwood, a daughter of the late Stephen and Madeline "Margaret" Suckenik Vargosko. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral and a former operator for the city of Greensburg. Carole was an avid baker and enjoyed making pastries for weddings and family gatherings. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and going to polkas and dances with her husband, Louis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis James Marsili, Jan. 27, 2018. She is survived by her two sons, Dino Louis Marsili (Gina Marie), of San Ramon, Calif., and Ricardo Stephen Marsili (Ellen), of Greensburg; five grandsons, Dominic (Michele), Joseph, Anthony, Joshua and Zachary (Elizabeth) Marsili; two great-grandsons, Giovanni and Santino Marsili (Dominic/Michele); two sisters, Joanne Weltz (Paul), of Inwood, W. Va. and Stephanie Lubinsky (Dennis), of Butler; a brother, Stephen Vargosko (Donna), of Sunset, S.C.; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Carole from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Parting prayers will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. Keeping with CDC guidelines, those attending the viewing and funeral are required to wear face masks and practice social distancing.
