Carol L. (Grimm) Thomas , 73, of Greensburg, passed away suddenly of heart failure Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born Oct. 18, 1942, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Dr. Kenneth and Lois (Milliron) Grimm. Carol was a devoted wife for more than 50 years. She was beloved by all who met her. She was known for her wit and spirit, and she lived life for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the beloved wife of Stephen D. Thomas and also was survived by her four children, Stephen Thomas Jr. and his wife, Amber, of Sterling, Va., Gretchen Speece and her husband, Tom, of Charleroi, Sean Thomas and his wife, Mimi, and Christopher Thomas and his wife, Lisa, all of Greensburg; 10 grandchildren, Stephen, Matthew, James, Rain and Oliver Thomas, Heather Abegglen and her husband, Ryan, Caitlin Olexa and her husband, Joshua, Sara Thomas, and Ryan and Benjamin Thomas; two great-grandchildren, Luke and Anna Abegglen; a sister, Kim Holliday and her husband, Roy, of Monroeville; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Carol from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601 ( 724-837-0020 ). A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Church of the Brethren, 554 Stanton St., Southwest Greensburg, with Pastor Lisa Fike officiating. Everyone please go directly to the church.
