Carl “Pete” Vince , 85, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, January 04, 2023. He was born September 13, 1937, in Crabtree, a son of the late John and Anna Humenansky Vince. Carl was Veteran of the US Army, being drafted shortly after graduating from Greensburg High School. After returning home from the service he was employed for most of his life as a roofer with Local #37. Later in life he opened up a western shop in Delmont. He was a member of St. Bartholomew Church and enjoyed golfing, being a pitcher for various baseball teams in the area and watching Pittsburgh sports teams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Vernosky Vince; two brothers, John Jr. and Phillip Vince; and three sisters, Anna Mae Dominick, Mary Ann Mangini and Josephine Shylock. He is survived by his loving and devoted companion of eleven years, Margaret Poteste Delvecchio; his brother, Robert Vince (Mary Lou) of Hannastown; and numerous nieces and nephews. At Carl’s request, there will be no viewing or services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association 2835 E Carson St. Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
