Beverly Summa

Beverly J. (LaChoppa) Summa , 78, of Hannastown, died Saturday, May 26, 2018, in Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born Sept. 2, 1939, in Bovard, a daughter of the late Ernest and Elizabeth Croushore LaChoppa. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jackie LaChoppa. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Frank Summa; four children, Francine Sudduth, of Greensburg, Joseph Summa, of Latrobe, Janee Summa, of Hannastown, and Mary Lu Summa, of Greensburg; nine grandchildren, Julianne Sudduth, Brad Sudduth, Elizabeth Frescura (Jonathan), Frank J. Summa, Jared Summa, Nickolas Summa, Becky Hixenbaugh, Gregory Hixenbaugh (fiancee Angel Davis) and Natalia L. Summa-Scekeres; five great-grandchildren, Cole, Ben, Elyse, Elenora and Karson; a sister, Beth McGrew, of Latrobe; a brother, Bobby Miller; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Beverly at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at her funeral Mass to be held in St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, with Father Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
