August R. Casadei

August R. Casadei, 73, of Crabtree, died Thursday, March 14, 2024.  He was born February 16, 1951, in Greensburg, a son of the late Augusto and Jeanne P. Pallottini Casadei.  Augie retired from SCI of Greensburg in 2013 as a Sergeant.  He was a member of St. Bartholomew Church and enjoyed working on cars in his spare time.  He was a proud veteran, serving in the US Army, US Air Force Reserve 911 and the National Guard.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Bianka Bilo Casadei; and sister, Antonia McFeaters.  He is survived by his wife, Deborah L. Beatty Casadei; son, Christopher Casadei; stepchildren, Yvonne Kinkopf (Gregory), Matthew Schreckengost (Laurie) and Michael Schreckengost (Kathleen); a brother Louis Casadei (Coreen) and their family, along with several grandchildren.  At Augie’s request, services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Crabtree Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box Q, Crabtree, PA 15624 or Mutual Aid Ambulance Service, Inc., 561 W Otterman St, Greensburg, PA 15601.  Augie’s family has entrusted his care to the Clement L.
