Arthur William "Bill" Kelly, 90, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023, in the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born Feb. 3, 1933, in Arona, a son of the late John Patrick Sr. and Naomi Alcorn Kelly. Bill was graduate of the United States Naval Academy, class of 1957, and then went on to serve his country for five years. After his military service, he started a long career in 1961 for West Penn Power until retirement in 1996. He was an active member of the Our Lady of Grace Parish. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Patrick "Pat" and James Andrew Kelly; and a sister, Patricia June Kelly. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Helena Hardek Kelly; a daughter, Dana Calhoun (Timothy), of Upper St. Clair; two sons, Michael Kelly (Lisa), of Abingdon, Va., and John Kelly, of Winchester, Va.; three grandchildren who became his whole world, Catherine Calhoun and Samantha and Nicholas Kelly; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Bill from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Prayers of transfer will be said at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the Our Lady of Grace Church. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. The things that meant the most to Bill were his Catholic faith, family and love for the game of golf.
