Ann (Michalchik) Nahomenuk , 89, of Greensburg, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, at home. She was born Feb. 15, 1929, in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Samuel and Pauline Martynyuk Michalchik. She was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church in Latrobe. Ann was a salesperson for the former Joseph Horne Co. and enjoyed reading, gardening, doing crafts and bird watching. The Christmas season was her favorite time of year. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Nahomenuk; an infant brother; and her sister, Mary Pawlus. She is survived by three children, Joanne McGrew, of Breckenridge, Colo., John Nahomenuk, of Salida, Colo., and Betty Ann Nemeth and her husband, Richard, of North Huntingdon; her granddaughter, Hannah Nemeth; and two nieces. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Ann from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 526 Hillview Ave., Latrobe, with Father Gregory Madeya celebrating. Everyone please go directly to the church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Elkins Park, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her honor may be made to Defenders of Wildlife, 1130 17th Street NW, Washington, DC 20036.
