Andrea Jeanne (Nalevanko) Ackerman, of Crabtree, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones in her lifelong family home. Born on January 6, 1954, she was 71 years old. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Brad Ackerman and their three children, Matt (Rhiannon) Ackerman, Aimee (Seth) Shultz, and Emilee (Jay) Atkins. She leaves behind her seven beloved grandchildren: Andrew and Oliver Shultz, Brinlee, Reed and Deen Atkins, and Annie and Nolan Ackerman, her four siblings; Dave (Debbie) Nalevanko, Marty (Shawna) Nalevanko, Monica (Greg) Bensko, and Becky (Charlie) Cunningham, best friends; Jack and Denise Maher, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Andrea will be fondly remembered for her remarkable gift for seeing the good in every situation, approaching life with kindness and grace, and embracing others for their most admirable qualities. She warmly welcomed all who visited her home, offering not just a coffee, but heartfelt conversation and genuine connection. She was a woman of boundless love and hospitality. Andrea’s passion for cooking and party planning was unparalleled. She took immense joy in bringing people together through her recipes, crafted with care and love, each ingredient guided by her heart. She found joy in celebrating the everyday moments, turning even the simplest occasions into meaningful gatherings. These joyful events, whether grand or intimate, were among her most treasured memories. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, filled with laughter, love, and the smells of her favorite recipes cooking. As a wife, mother, Bubba, sister and friend, Andrea embodied compassion and generosity. She found profound joy in the beauty of nature, the expression of creativity, and the opportunity to share her wisdom with others. A natural teacher and nurturing presence, she exemplified the essence of a loving and caring mother to all. Her insatiable curiosity and passion for learning fueled her love for discovering fascinating facts, but her greatest joy came from the time she cherished with her family above all else. Her enduring impact of love and hospitality will live on through the countless lives she touched. Andrea will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished family traditions that will be carried on for generations to come. A celebration of Andrea’s life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 5:00 pm at the Nalevanko Farm, 157 Rodina Lane, Greensburg, PA 15601.
