Alicia E. (Baker) Woody , 67, of Greensburg, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, January 31, 2022. She was born February 25, 1954, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Morris and Fernlee Baker Brown. Alicia was not only a homemaker, but a very loving person who had a big heart and cared for everyone. She was a member of the Greater Parkview Church. She was formerly married to Homer E. Woody, Jr. and within that union, they raised seven children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeremy Baker; sister, Bernice Rutledge; two brothers, Michael Bassett and William Brown; four nieces, Paula, Marissa and Aleesha Brown and Clauda Price; her aunt, Marlene Trimell and her uncle, Tommy Cage. She is survived by her seven children, Jewel Putt (Jeff) of Indiana, Angel Swanson (William) of Vandergrift, Kamika Thomas of McKeesport, Venus Forney (Nashaun) of Greensburg, Homer Woody, III (Stephanie) of Newark, OH, Jamie Woody (Natasha) of Greensburg and Kenisha Pearson of Plum; 24 grandchildren, her pride and joys Brittany Woody, Homer Woody IV, Joshua Swanson, Lorenzo Pearson, Alicia L Woody, Maliyah Woody, Tariq Harris (Sarah), Darcyl Claiborne, Dazshia Woody, Corinna Putt, Kaezron Pearson, Olivea Woody, Jameer Woody, Jasmine Putt, Braydon Woody, Trinity Thomas, Akheim McCreary, Jaleel Woody, Savannah Woody, Aujunae McCreary, Nikayla Woody, Matthew Sinclair, Jaydon Woody and Meygan Woody; 6 great grandchildren, her additional blessings, Tai'zhor Pearson, Bryson Harris, Justin Menefee Jr, Lond`yn Simpson, Adrian Harris and Jasmeri Woody; siblings James Baker (John) Pittsburgh, Charlotta Barr (Bill) Greensburg, Byron Brown (Sylvia) Vandergrift and Morris Brown Jr (Janice) Columbia SC; 2 nieces, Selena Brown and Jaleesa Brown; 2 nephews, Byron Brown, Jr. and Mychael Brown and her aunt, Denise Cage. She also leaves behind a host of other nieces and nephews, special friends and family members. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Alicia, Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. until Noon in the Greater Parkview Church, 103 Westminster Ave, Greensburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow with Bishop Carl E.
